Ques ons & Answers
Q: On new line items, replace/repair security light item and a li truck would that be a turnkey bid?
A: Bid it as 2-line items. One is li , second is overhead light replacement.
Q: Who determines if something is rou ne or emergency?
A: We don’t have emergency call outs where you must respond within 24 hrs. Except two CLINS were discovered lis ng emergency response.
Q: What about the me limit on the underground water leak? Contract says 24 hr response and 4 hr response on another.
A: Your bid price should include a 24 hr response and 4 hr response me on two separate CLINS in the contract. Sep c pump outage and Water Leak.
Q: Do both people have to be a master electrician / plumber?
A: Just 1 has to be a master the second can be an appren ce laborer
Q: Will concrete jobs be 300 sq or 3000 sq ?
A: It would be like for sidewalks and canopies at campgrounds. Large jobs would have to go through engineering and Design.
Q: Can JHA’s/AHA’s be prefilled out?
A: yes, if we are doing the same jobs.
Q: Are landscape mbers a new item?
A: No, it has been on the contract the past several years.
Q: What if Class 2/quarter inch washed is not available?
A: Will have to call quarry’s and see what we can get and what is available. We can agree on a similar stone if not available at local quarries.
Q: Ques on on pricing for 2-man hours.
A: It will be one unit price for 2 people. Ex. Master plumber and helper two rates combined for 1 labr hour.
Q: Do you expect to have any amendment issues?
A: We don’t at this me, we have worked through most of them. Example Li for boat ramp light at BM- 65 light and light at dam. You will all be contacted with any Mod or ques on asked with an answer if asked outside this mee ng.
Q: Can we leave equipment on site?
A: Equipment can be le on site, but we can’t guarantee it as safe. Would need to have your own insurance and don’t leave inside the parks.
Q: Was the buoy retrieval /replacement taken out? Did it not work out?
A: It was taken out. We are doing it ourselves.
Q: IS there a cost-of-living increase?
A: Expec ng higher margins.
A: Gentleman in the mee ng noted there is an equitable adjustment clause on some of the Corps bids. I expect to see bids with higher rates for each op on due to infla on and cost of materials, fuel etc etc., but there are no equitable adjustments clauses on this contract.
Q: Asking about a percentage of cost-of-living adjustment and total amount of contract to be issued.
A: 3% of the total cost of the contract is the minimum guaranteed by the government of work to be performed on the Base and two op ons total price.
Q: What is item 32- Recrea on Pre-Season Electrical Check?
A: Every campground / office, Pre-seasonal check for each lake – checking every electrical box and electric center. Prior to the season opening once a year. Also, all electrical workers must meet Arc Flash protec on standards.
Q: IS there a specific number quoted in bid for how many electrical checks?
A: One electrical pre-season check for each lake. Maps given of the lake and campgrounds.
Q: There are 2 man hours for ge ng supplies paid to the contractor. To be added to receipts of purchase.
A: Labor will be billed separately on a line item.. Provide receipts for materials purchased.
Q: How to give a quote for CLIN 0002 and 0042 “General Services Materials Cost”
A: You should put $1.00 bid in this amount column, not the total dollars amount. This will be a 100% reimbursable with receipt for materials purchased. The bid sheet on the Combined Synopsis/Solicita on Amendment 0001 has been updated with the amounts pre-filled.
