Request for Information:

1. When entering the buildings, the card readers will unlock the electric strikes for employees to enter. Once inside, will the new doors that are being installed have a mechanical unlock to provide free egress? (Mechanical Crash Bar or Mechanical Door Handle) If the doors have no mechanical unlock, we will need to use mag-locks with push-to-exit buttons like the current doors have. Please verify.

Electric strikes and push bars.

2. The Scope of Work sheet has us installing a Securitron Touch Bar Sensor in the Project Office. These are used to unlock mag-locks, however no mag-locks are supposed to be used. We are supposed to use all electric strikes. Please verify.

The front visitor door must be able for the public to open during normal business hours, we will maintain the current system that is being used. No electric strike needs to be installed on this door.

3. We were told on-site that Fiber Optic cable had already been pulled from the Project Office to the new building. Can we please have in writing that this is in fact true? We were also asked to provide and add alternate price to pull the remaining spool of fiber between the two new buildings. Please verify if you would like this.

The fiber optic cable has been pulled from the main office complex to the storage building. The Government will pull the remaining spool of fiber between the two new buildings.

4. Who is responsible for installing the new doors and door frames that were sitting in the garage?

Those will need to be set just prior to installation of the new access equipment. Do you want us to present you a proposal alternate to install them?

We are having these installed with a local contractor.

5. SOW Section C.5.2 / CLIN 0002 / Note states that all components (for the project office) shall be compatible with the existing alarm system. Please provide the details of the existing alarm system that is currently installed at this location (type, manufacturer, etc)?

Please see pictures attached.
