Description
1. CONTRACT INFORMATION: The proposed project will be a Total small business set-aside Design Bid Build, Invitation for Bid/Sealed Bid in accordance with FAR Part 14. The
North American Industrial Classification System code is 236220, which has a size standard of
$39,500,000. A firm-fixed-price contract will be awarded. The contract is anticipated to be awarded in September 2021. To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered with the
System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM Internet site at h ttps://www.sam.gov/. No state level certifications will be accepted.
2. PROJECT INFORMATION: The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and
$5,000,000. The Contractor shall provide construction to renovate and repurpose an existing dining facility (DFAC) building (B56471) into a general use classroom facility. The facility will include all applicable utilities.
a. HAZMAT Remediation Testing (Asbestos, Mold, Lead Based Paint)
b. Demolition of existing DFAC equipment and appurtenances
c. Building Renovations, Repurpose for different use
d. Site Upgrades (Storm Drainage, Lighting, Utilities)
e. Interior works that align with use of building as a classroom
3. SUBMISSION INFORMATION: This is not a solicitation. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or around 16 August 2021 with 30 days to compile a bid. An award will be made to the lowest, responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the
Invitation for Bid, will be the most advantageous to the government. After solicitation issuance, contractors may view and or download this solicitation, specifications and all amendments at the following internet address: Contracting Opportunities (beta.SAM.gov) website. Type in the search box the solicitation number W9126G21B4574. The use of the website requires prior registration. Plans and specifications will NOT be made available in paper format or on compact disc. It is the Offerors responsibility to monitor the beta.SAM.gov website and or any other official Government website for amendments to the solicitation. You must be registered in
System Award Management (SAM), to receive a Government contract award. Proposals are anticipated to be due between August/September 2021.
4. The Primary Point of Contract for this project is Emmanuel Hardrick, Contract Specialist, 817-886-1088, email is emmanuel.d.hardrick@usace.army.mil. All questions MUST be received through email for record. The Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any amendments to this solicitation. It is the offerors responsibility to view the websites daily for amendments to the solicitation. Accordingly, prospective contractors may http://www.sam.gov/ view and/or download the solicitation and all amendments from the beta.SAM.gov address after solicitation issuance. Contractors shall register themselves at this website under the solicitation number to receive a copy of the solicitation.
