Description

1. CONTRACT INFORMATION: The proposed project will be a total small business set-aside Design Bid Build request for proposal. The North American Industrial Classification

System code is 236220, which has a size standard of $39,500,000. A firm-fixed-price contract will be awarded. The contract is anticipated to be approximately awarded in August/ September

2021. To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered with the System for Award

Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM Internet site at h ttps://www.sam.gov/. No state level certifications will be accepted.

2. PROJECT INFORMATION: The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and

$5,000,000. The Contractor shall provide construction to build a Battalion HQ building with associated classrooms. The facility will be approx. 18,600 SF and will include all applicable utilities.

a. HAZMAT Remediation (Asbestos, Mold, Lead Based Paint)

b. Demolition

c. New Construction of a building

d. Building Renovations, Preservation of Historical Features – NA

e. Site Upgrades (Storm Drainage, Lighting, Utilities, Landscaping)

Additionally, construction will include utility relocation for existing conditions that interfere with building footprint.

3. SUBMISSION INFORMATION: This solicitation will be evaluated under the Invitation for Bid. best value determination for award. The Source Selection Authority (SSA) compares proposals and determines the best value for the government. The perceived benefits of the higher priced proposal must merit the additional cost, and the rationale for tradeoffs must be documented. After solicitation issuance, contractors may view and or download this solicitation, specifications and all amendments at the following internet address: Contracting Opportunities

Plans and specifications will NOT be made available in paper format or on compact disc. Government contract award. Proposals are anticipated to be due between August/September

2021.
