Text version

1. Do you have a breakdown of the acreage?

• Yes, spreadsheet is provided with the estimated acreage and linear feet.

2. What are the requirements for tractors for the embankment/slope?

• Tractors with shredders are allowed on the embankment/slope, but should not create rutting on the dam. If the tractors cause rutting due to ground saturation, weed eaters will be used in those areas (Paragraph 6.5 of the PWS). If the slope gets too steep and rutting occurs, special equipment might need to be used (Paragraph 6.7.5 of the PWS).

3. Are tractors with shredders allowed in all areas if possible or ?

• Tractors are allowed in most places and areas, except within 20 feet of any people, building, picnic/camping unit, camper hook-up, or under trees with low hanging limbs (Paragraph 6.5 of the PWS).

Would the government consider an amendment to increase the cap of 1 million over the five years to a substantially higher rate? Reason for request is numerous but mainly for a reasonable contractor profit as well as the increase wage determination rates which have been increasing dramatically each year.

Not to mention the substantial loss of revenue from climate change these past years (rain and weather delays)?

Government will not consider an increase to capacity at this time.
