About this file

This document is a "Questions from Industry" file for a federal contract opportunity related to Life Support Services at the Orchard Combat Training Center. The document addresses five key questions from potential contractors regarding light tower specifications and service requirements. Specifically, the answers clarify that the towable lights must be a minimum of 10 feet tall, LED lights are preferred (though metal halide is acceptable), and there are specific service schedule details for Range 5 that require referencing the Statement of Objectives. Additionally, the government will not provide water for servicing, and while lights will not be propane-powered, the 221 CAV unit will ensure gas tanks are topped off prior to unit return. The responses provide technical clarification to help potential contractors understand the precise requirements for the June 2025 training event equipment support.
