About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for a federal fire extinguisher service contract solicitation for Fort Greely, Alaska.

The contract covers fire extinguisher maintenance and support services for the Period of Performance from September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2031. Fire extinguishers will be centralized at two locations: Building 605 on the Fort Greely main post and Building 1928 at the Bolio Lake compound on the Donnelly Training Area. Contractors must reference Attachment TE-3 Fire Extinguisher Service Overview for detailed extinguisher inventory information; however, the inventory lacks manufacturer and manufacturing date information. All services—including recharge, six-year maintenance, hydrostatic testing, and replacement extinguishers—must be included in a single firm-fixed-price annual Contract Line Item Number (CLIN). The Government is responsible for replacing defective or non-usable extinguishers; contractors are only responsible for identification and reporting. This is not a new contract; the incumbent contractor is Arctic Fire Inc. under previous contract number W9124R-21-D-0003, which was valued at $23,414.45 for the 2020-2026 period. Points of contact are Damaris I. Castillo (Contracting Officer's Representative) and Amanda M. Ramirez (Procuring Contracting Officer).
