1. PWS stated in one section to use Calla-1142 for aircraft wheels but it should be Calla-1452 correct?
Answer: Yes, Calla-1452
2. To clean the aircraft wheels, Calla 1452, the results did not return as aircraft wheel cleaner. Would Calla 800 commercial, Calla 805, or Calla 8050 be a comparable alternative to complete aircraft wheel cleaning?
Answer: Calla 1452, no other alternative shall be used.
3. Is a virtual site visit possible? Slides and/or aerial photos of the site?
Answer: These requests could not be fulfilled.
4. Would the two disinfecting locations be on the airfield?
Both locations will be open areas on the flight line; see revised PWS for more information.
5. Can the contractor move on the flight line for water refilling, batch mixing, administrative tasks, etc.? Contractors may not move freely on the flight line. They can move on the flight line with authorization and proper guidance from military personnel / ADACG representatives. An Officer-in- Charge servicemember will always be on-site to answer any related questions/requests.
6. Will the equipment pieces be washed and ready for sanitizing onsite or will the pieces have to be moved? Trying to determine if we have to wait on personnel to bring each piece or will the pieces be parked and ready for us to sanitize. We currently have 6 mobile sanitizing units and can move at an uninterrupted pace if the equipment is ready.
Answer: Not all pieces will be ready on the 1st day of operations (approximately 150 of the containers and approximately 450 of the rolling stock will be staged and ready; see revised PWS for more information). Remaining equipment will be moved by Government personnel to the area for sanitization by the Contractor at relatively steady pace throughout the performance period (beginning the second week of the performance period, but adjustments to the planned schedule for pieces to be moved to the Contractor’s location may be possible). See chemicals containment requirements in the PWS as well to determine feasibility of mobile sanitizing units. See also PWS section regarding the forklifts the Government will have on-site lifting containers for disinfecting the bottom surfaces to consider planned pace of operations.
7. Will the equipment compartments on pieces be opened and secured by military's personnel or do sanitizing crews need to open and secure all enclosed compartments?
Answer: All compartments will be opened prior to sanitization and closed after by military personnel.
8. Which pieces of equipment need Calla-1452 vs Virkon S as one is more expensive?
Answer: Only aircraft tires require Calla-1452. See attached tentative equipment listing for numbers.
9. Is the equipment used?
Answer: Yes
10. Can the Contractor leave equipment at the work locations during non-working hours?
Answer: Yes, but the Government will not be responsible/accountable for any damage to or loss of Contractor property if left unattended.
