About this file
This document is a set of questions and answers (Q&A) related to a federal contract opportunity for internet services at Building 501 on Fort Knox. The key details include a wired commercial internet service requirement for the Warrior Transition Complex located at 649 Spearhead Division Ave, Fort Knox, KY 40121. The contract is not a new requirement, with a previous contract number of W9124D24P0208, and the government seeks a contractor to provide managed internet services specifically for Building 501.
The Q&A clarifies several important aspects of the contract: there is no wireless network requirement, no need for new switches or patch cables (these were removed in a PWS amendment), and the contractor is only expected to manage the wired commercial internet service and ensure connectivity. The primary point of service delivery will be in room 114, using single-mode fiber, with the contractor responsible for providing their own path into the building. Spectrum is noted to have existing fiber infrastructure on nearby poles. The contract must be completed prior to the start of Cadet Summer Training, with no extension of the due date granted.
