Questions and Answers W9124D25Q017 LA SORD Internet. Wi-Fi, phone lines

Q1- Confirm that you are looking for 6 phone LINES, but only ONE VoIP phone?

A1 Only need two (2) land lines.

Q2-And there are 5 existing drops that need to be maintained? Do these have phones on them?

If so, do you need phone lines for those as well?

A2- NO, not needed.

Q3-You stated "dedicated fiber internet at a minimum of 250MB with unlimited usage...". Since 250MB is a measure of data storage and not speed, we assume that you mean 250Mb/sec or megabits per second.

A3 250 mbps speed, not data storage.

Q4-You requested managed Wireless Access points and an admin guide. Are you requesting to be able to manage the wireless access points? This would affect SLAs since we would not be able to know if it was something done by local admins, or our admins.

A4- Only need access WAP, user name and pw.

Q5-You requested 5 Static IPs, but did not specify if those IPs were publicly routable IPs (true internet IPs) or within the building using Network Address Translation (NAT) for internet access.

The publicly routable IPs are significantly more expensive and unless you have an external facing server, they are not needed.

A5- This is not needed.

Q6-Could you identify on the floor plan where the COMMS closet is located? Where would outside internet cable come into the facility? If it is not in this room, we would need to know how far away that is.

A6- Electric closet is approximately 20 feet away from the entrance to the room. The building is already wired (Fiber) since the SORD has service now. VOIP phones in the building are wired.

Q7-If a site survey is possible, we have someone in the area that can come and survey.

A7- YES

Q8-Managed Fiber Internet Services: What internet speed is required for the managed fiber internet circuit to meet the needs of the facility?

A8-250 mbps

Q9-Wi-Fi Coverage: Could you please provide the approximate square footage of the areas that require Wi-Fi coverage, including conference rooms?

A9- 3000 square feet

Q10-Hosted Voice: Will basic four-line phones be required for each station identified on the provided map, or are there alternative specifications for the hosted voice service?

A10- No, only two (2) basic land lines required.

Q11-CLIN indicated that this is for Internet/Wifi and Communication services.

A11-YES

Q12-Are you looking for Coax or Fiber Connection?

A12- Fiber connection, 250 mbps

Q13- What speeds were you looking for?

A13 –250 mbps , (Please see PWS 5.1.1)

Q14 - For Communication services – are you looking for voice lines? If so, how many telephone lines are you looking for?

A14 Again, only need (2) two land lines and service. – physical phone is there.

Q15- For this site, would you allow us to do a site survey to ensure we can provide services to this location?

A15- YES, The site survey will be on 19 November 2024, Tuesday, from 10 am to 12 pm local time (Los Angeles, California).

Q16 If so, could we have a Point of Contact (POC) (name/email/telephone)
