Questions and Answers

1. Has a contractor performed similar work to this for the government in the past?

If available, please provide the incumbent contract number.

ANSWER: W9124C-15-C-0020

2. Section 1.6.7 (Security Requirements): it states that the provider must be a AAA National Association for information Destruction (NAID) Certified provider that is on the GSA Schedule with the Federal Government. I kindly ask if I may please get GSA Schedule waiver as I am not on the GSA Schedule at this time.

ANSWER: This is not reserved for GSA Schedule Holders. However, AAA National Association for information Destruction (NAID) Certified provider is a requirement.

3. In reference to the above FBO Solicitation, I would be interested in bidding on this project, except for one issue. The SOW is requiring a 3/8” particle shred size. The shredding equipment my trucks use is called a Pierce & Tear System, which shreds the paper into small, various sized paper particles. I cannot guarantee it would be 3/8” in size. Some particles will be smaller, and some may be larger. However, most importantly, it renders the destroyed paper unreadable nor unreconstructable. If you were to amend the solicitation to require the destroyed paper to be Unreadable & Unreconstructable, and not focus on a particle size, then I can bid on this project.

Furthermore, it is highly doubtful you can find many providers who can guarantee ALL their shredded paper can meet this particle size requirement. Particle size is unimportant. All that matter s is that the destroyed paper cannot be read or cannot be reconstructed.

ANSWER: Shredding size of 3/8” particle shred size has been removed.

4. Can solicitation be extended past 6 September 2017?

ANSWER: No, the current contract expires 29 September 2017.
