Solicitation W9124A21R0024

Lift Equipment Inspection, Certification, Repair and Servicing

Question 3: For Solicitation W9124A21R0024, are you wanting a mechanic on-site every day? If so, will you be providing work space? The reason I am inquiring is, the FFP portion of this RFP indicates per job, and if a contractor is to be on-site daily the unit should be per month.

Additionally, if you do not want the contractor on site every day, should the unit price be per hour? Please clarify, as it is impossible to bid this contract per job, when the repairs needed now have not been identified and the needed repairs in the future are unknown and have not yet occurred.

Answer 3: A mechanic is not required to be on-site every day. The unit of issue is “Job” as this allows more than one invoice payment by our payment office for this CLIN.

We have had to convert many of our unit of issues to “Job” for this reason on our solicitation/contracts.

Repairs will be handled in accordance with Performance Work Statement paragraphs 12.5 and 13.3. Note the pricing information in the addendum to FAR clause 52.212-1, paragraph 5.c.
