About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a federal contract opportunity for rubber removal at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas. The contract will have a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The contractor will be required to remove rubber deposits from the first 5,000 feet of Runway 26 through high-pressure water blasting on Friday and Saturday nights. Additional requirements include repainting existing markings in that area to specification, constructing and using an evaporation basin for wastewater, and disposing of all waste off-base. The Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground is the contracting agency. The pre-bid site visit identified several issues to be resolved by the government prior to commencement of work.
