Solicitation W9124A20R0023 Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Questions and Answers as of October 15, 2020, 0930 hours Arizona Time
Question 3: What are the requirements to enter the base? Do all members performing the packing and moving need to have TWIC cards or special identification?
Answer 3: The current visitor requirements for the installation are at this link:
https://home.army.mil/Huachuca/index.php/about/Garrison/DES/physical-security/visitor-access The Exception to Policy (ETP) mentioned for vendors has to have the company letterhead and a list of every person employed that may attempt to access the base listed. There is a 2 week turn around in this process. The phone numbers to get further information can also be found on the webpage.
Question 4: Am I correct in understanding all the moves originate at Fort Huachuca? Am I correct in understanding that they can originate in Fort Huachuca and have a final destination in the lower 48 United States?
Answer 4: All shipments will originate in Cochise and Santa Cruz counties in Arizona. Destinations can be in any of the lower 48 United States that have a similar DPM contract in place. There must be a DPM contract at the origin AND a destination for us to be able to have it booked as a “DPM” shipment. HOTE:
Not all locations have a DPM contract in place at this time. A list will be provided to the awardee upon contract award.
