1.) Will contractor be responsible for removal of the old HVAC unit from property or will it be left onsite?

A: Contractor to provide removal

2.) SOV item 3.2.1.1 Recover refrigerant in current system. Will recovery cylinders be provided or should contractor include in bid proposal?

A: Contractor to provide and dispose of old refrigerant

3.) I heard the heater is broken, but the A/C still works. Can we replace the heater or do we have to replace the whole HVAC?

A: Replace entire unit with new.

4.) When specifically is the requirement due?

A: The requirement, as stated in the solicitation, shall be received electronically via e-mail no later than

10:00 AM local Arizona time.

5.) Does new system need to be tied into the existing building automation?

A: The system is not tied into any other system. It is a stand-alone system, which only provides cooling/heating for room 122. The unit does need to be controlled by a thermostat, to be located in a convenient location within the room.

The following questions follow the site visit, which encompassed visiting room 122 (the electronics shop), the outside fenced area (the heat exchanger/electrical area) & room 121 (the breaker room, labelled ‘mechanical room#2’), as well as, two rooms that adjoin the HVAC areas.
