HVAC system Questions and Answers for W9124A-17-T-0010 The following questions follow the site visit, which encompassed visiting room 122 (the electronics shop), the outside fenced area (the heat exchanger/electrical area) & room 121 (the breaker room, labelled ‘mechanical room#2’), as well as, two rooms that adjoin the HVAC areas.

6) Is humidity control required? Is a humidifier required?

A: Yes, humidity control required. Humidifier is not required. Would like control included within the unit

7) Is there a current emcs system in this building? Is it connected to this unit? Will it be required to be connected/ reconnected?

A: Unit is a standalone system, only for room 122.

8) Is fire alarm shut down required?

A: No shut down required.

9) Does new duct need to be painted?

A: No

10) If the new unit is larger than the concrete pad, will we have to pour a larger base or can we make something out of steel to add on?

A: Any base that meets the manufacturer's requirements will be fine.
