Text version

1. The PWS states all debris needs to be cleared within 20feet of the bridge/culvert headwalls. Is gravel considered debris or are we to just remove the trees/timber that are obstructing the flow. Will excavation of built up gravel be required to meet the project goals?

A: Excavation of gravel will not be required. Storm debris will consist of only trees/timber.

1. Are all bridges/culverts accessible by road, including the rail culverts?

A: All bridges and culverts are accessible by road.

1. Are we to submit pricing for Attachment #3 (BR0036 & BR041 Mabry) AND the Lineal Foot Price in the PWS or just the pricing for Attachment #3? Since each site will be different (access, etc), it will be impossible to accurately predict a price by the Lineal Foot. Can you confirm that the tasks will not be priced by the Lineal Foot but on a case by case basis?

A: Pricing will be based off the total price of the quote to clear debris from the 2 bridges (attachment 3). It will NOT be based off linear feet. All task orders will be priced separately, utilizing a site visit before pricing is submitted for task order, and negotiated accordingly as needed.

1. Would it be possible to provide a listing of the attendees that attending the site walk?

A: Companies that attended site visit are as follows: DK Bast; WE ROC; SOGARD; Southeast Contracting

1. If disturbance is kept to a minimum, can we put equipment in the dry parts of the stream to remove debris?

A: Equipment may be used up the edges of any body of water but at no time may they enter the body of water even if there are low or dry spots.
