Questions/Clarification:
In section 1.2 of the Performance Work Statement, it states “This project will upgrade current ultra-high definition, IP based, digital video and audio surveillance and recording system utilizing the following existing hardware and software: CAT-6 cabling, monitors, 1 POE network switch model POE316GM V2, and 7 workstation computers. 7 existing workstation computer configuration consist of: 6 workstation computers with x64-based PC, Intel® Core ™ i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz, Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 12 GB RAM, 1TB hard drive; 1 workstation computer/server: x64-based PC, Intel®Core ™ i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz, Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 12 GB RAM, with 2 - 1TB hard drives”
| 1. | Per our understanding and our subject matter knowledge, we believe that your existing workstations may require an OS upgrade from Windows 10 Home to a Pro version. |
| 2. | If the customer is requesting to repurpose the larger TB unit from above as a server for the new system (1 workstation computer/server: x64-based PC, Intel® Core ™ i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz, Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 12 GB RAM, with 2 - 1TB hard drives), it would require an upgrade to the OS and be very undersized to accommodate the required storage of 30 days. |
Answers:
1. A proposal should include all upgrades needed to meet performance requirements in Part 5.
2. 30 days = during business hours, Monday - Friday. The current system meets this requirement with the 1TB hard drive, but a proposal should include all upgrades needed to meet performance requirements in Part 5.
