END OF STATEMENT OF WORK

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

The following is a consolidated list of twenty nine (29) questions received from all contractors with the government response to each question.

KEY:

Consolidated Contractor’s Questions (Q#)

Government official answer (A#)

Q1: Please reference Section 16.1.1 of the Statement of Work (on pg. 5 of the solicitation):This section states that the contractor is responsible for coordinating with COR for HVAC (OMD) “assistance” to help remove and transport the existing chillers to the DPR yard and to transport the new chillers to the site. This suggests that removal and transport of the existing chillers and transport of the new chillers is the responsibility of the contractor with assistance from the Government, and appears to be in conflict with what was stated by the Government at the site visit. At the site visit, Government OMD personnel stated that it would be the responsibility of the Government to remove the existing chillers and transport them to the DPW yard (after the contractor completes demolition of piping and electrical connections) and to transport the new chillers to the existing concrete pads.

A1: OMD (HVAC) by way of COR will take away the existing Chillers after Contractor Demos and OMD/COR will coordinate with the Contractor on the transport of the new chillers to be set on the pad with the Contractor on site. OMD has the transport and Crane.

Q2: Please clarify/define the responsibilities of the Government and the contractor with regard to removal and transport of the existing chillers and transport and placement of the new chillers. Also, please revise Section 16.1.1 of the SOW accordingly, in order to clearly define those responsibilities.

A2: See Answer #1

Q3: Please reference Section 16.1.18 of the Statement of Work (pg. 6 of the solicitation): The location of the new connections for the portable chiller was not determined during the walk thru, as this SOW section had indicated.

Please amend the Statement of Work to include the desired location.

A3: The location will be on the building side piping (supply and return) in the Mechanical room. It will need a “T” and an inline ball valve (to isolate the chillers). This will need to be done FIRST so we can hook the temp. Chiller back up. OMD has the 3” Cam Fittings. They were on site. You can replicate what is outside already.

Q4: Please reference page 33, “Submission Instructions”: Section “A” states that “only emailed quotes will be accepted”, but does not specify an email address. Please confirm that submission of offers on the SF1442 and the Pre-Award Survey must be emailed to william.d.covington2.civ@mail.mil.

A4: Email quotes are the only methods of submissions. The submission email address is:
