About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) is for Asphalt Sealing and Stripping Services at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Pine Flat Dam & Lake headquarters in Sanger, California. The project requires the contractor to reseal approximately 131,000 square feet of existing asphalt surfaces with two coats of commercial-grade hot rubber sealant and restripe parking stalls, ADA accessible areas, and traffic lines according to the provided striping plan. The work includes site preparation such as cleaning the surface, filling cracks and potholes, and applying high-quality, durable traffic paint.
Key requirements include attending a pre-work meeting, providing a work plan schedule, accident prevention plan, liability insurance, and E-Verify results. The contractor must follow industry standards for asphalt sealing and striping, with a one-year warranty on materials and workmanship. The Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan stipulates that work must be 100% completed on schedule and meet industry standards 95% of the time, with the contractor required to remedy any deficiencies within 24 hours of notification. Safety compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers safety regulations is mandatory, including daily safety briefings and proper personal protective equipment.
