About this file

This document includes a questions and answers sheet and description of a blanket purchase agreement solicitation for Caterpillar engine inspection and maintenance services. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks to establish a blanket purchase agreement to procure recurring inspection and maintenance services for existing Caterpillar engines and equipment. As this is a blanket purchase agreement, pricing is non-binding and contractors must only prove they hold the required certifications to be issued a master agreement. Individual calls will then be competed amongst master agreement holders and pricing will be negotiated separately on a per call basis. The required certifications are outlined in the scope of work.

New BPA Caterpillar Engine Inspection & Maintenance Services

Questions and Answers as of December 19, 2019

Q1: What exactly are we to provide bid pricing for? Are you looking for an hourly rate to be applied to troubleshooting or service estimating?

A1: As pricing is non-binding for a master blanket purchase agreement (BPA), we are not looking for pricing. We are looking for Contractors that have the required certifications as laid out in the Scope of Work. All qualified, responsible Contractors that can prove they hold the required certifications will be issued a master (BPA). The expectation is that calls will be competed amongst the master BPA holders and all pricing will be negotiated on a per call basis.
