About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding Solicitation Number W911XK20R0006, issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for blanket purchase agreement caterpillar engine inspection and maintenance services. The solicitation seeks to establish multiple blanket purchase agreements for recurring inspection and maintenance services of Caterpillar engines and equipment used by the agency. Pricing is non-binding for the blanket purchase agreements, as the expectation is for calls to be competed amongst agreement holders and negotiated on a per call basis. Qualified contractors need only prove they hold the required certifications outlined in the scope of work to be issued a blanket purchase agreement; no pricing submission is required at this stage. The questions and answers provide clarification but do not include additional details on products, response dates, awards, or other salient information.

New BPA Caterpillar Engine Inspection & Maintenance Services

Questions as of December 26, 2019

Q1: What exactly are we to provide bid pricing for? Are you looking for an hourly rate to be applied to troubleshooting or service estimating?

A1: As pricing is non-binding for a master blanket purchase agreement (BPA), we are not looking for pricing. We are looking for Contractors that have the required certifications as laid out in the Scope of Work. All qualified, responsible Contractors that can prove they hold the required certifications will be issued a master (BPA). The expectation is that calls will be competed amongst the master BPA holders and all pricing will be negotiated on a per call basis.

Q2: Could you please indicate what the magnitude of construction range is for the Caterpillar Engine Inspection and maintenance project is?

A1: This is a services contract, not construction.
