Replace current paragraph with below.

The Contractor is to provide four brand new aluminum deck hatch access doors. Three hatches have the dimensions 30-in x 72-in, and one hatch has a dimension of 30-in x 42-in. (approximate sizes) The four existing hatches shall be removed and replaced with new hatches with the following features: Aluminum hatch, concealed hinges flushed with the deck, rectangular rounded corners shape must match existing opening, lift-outward, and water-tight closures. Hatch handles must have stainless steel Multi-Dog style twist-locks to secure door (a minimum of 4 stainless steel dogs), a device used to hold the hatch open with gas spring assist, and a locking mechanism to prevent unauthorized entry. The Contractor is to provide all the materials, labor, welding, and expertise to ensure the four new hatches replaced are fully functional, operational, and water tight prior to re-sailing of the vessel.

The Government requires the Contractor to purchase the new hatches that are going to be installed as meeting or exceeding the brand name as follows:

Brand name: Freeman Model: 3440

TP-17 REPLACE NAVIGATION LIGHTS ON MAST OF CRANE BARGE VELER

Replace current paragraph with below.

The crane barge Veler needs new LED mast lighting. The Contractor is to provide 14 new LED Perko brand or equivalent lights and install in place of the old lights on the mast and decking of the crane barge Veler. The Contractor will be replacing a quantity of four double lens red over green LED navigation lights (eight LED lights), three red LED lights, two white LED lights, and one green LED light. The Contractor is to provide all the materials, labor, electrical, and expertise to ensure the 14 new LED navigational lights are fully operational prior to re-sailing of the vessel.

TP-34 BUILD DUNNAGE AREA ON DECK WITH STEEL AND TIMBER

Replace current paragraph with below.

W911XK-15-T-0029

The Scow BC-6576 dunnage area requires steel installation to build the dunnage area walls and create a pig pen area. If ordered by the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contractor will remove and dispose of existing decking. The Contractor shall install the steel as detailed below:

The steel needed for the dunnage area would be ½-inch thick rolled steel. The dimensions would be: 3-foot high wall surrounding a (75ft x 26.5ft) area or (203 LF). The top of the wall will be rolled 2 inches towards the outside of the pig pen area. The walls will be secured to the deck by continuous inside and outside 3/8 inch fillet welds. Steel supports are needed to secure the 3-foot high wall surrounding the (75ft x 26.5ft) area of timber. The four walls will be supported by triangle shaped steel supports. The supports dimensions must be: roughly 3-ft in height, a base of 1-ft, with a ½ circle hole cut out of the base adjacent to the wall, to wash between the supports when needed, the hypotenuse of the 3x1 triangle must have a right angle (90degrees) on its edge from top (3-ft) to bottom (deck) for added support to each support and have a 2 inch roll in either direction. There must be 50 supports spaced evenly along the four walls and be welded to the steel walls surrounding the dunnage area.

Once the steel installation work is complete, the Contractor will then supply white oak dunnage boards to finalize the pig pen aboard the Scow BC-6576. White oak dunnage boards are to be 6 inches by 4 inches and installed at varies lengths so that the joints are staggered during installation.

White oak dunnage boards shall be installed as tight as possible with angle tabs welded on center channel to keep boards compressed in place. Contractor shall notify the Government’s Quality Assurance Representative of the installation plan for review prior to installation of the white oak dunnage boards.
