About this file
This pre-solicitation notice describes a requirements contract for the fabrication and delivery of a miter gate for the New Cumberland Locks and Dam. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District requires fabrication of two gate leafs approximately 30 feet high, 5 feet wide, and 62 feet long each weighing around 130 tons. Additional requirements include miscellaneous components, shop assembly, painting, testing, and delivery by barge. The contractor must have American Institute of Steel Construction certification in bridges or hydraulic steel structures along with sophisticated painting endorsement and experience on similar welded steel structures over 130 tons. The solicitation will be an unrestricted invitation for bid issued on or about June 14, 2019 with one firm-fixed price award. The estimated value is between $5-10 million.
Revised Technical Specifications (Section 01 22 22.10 and Section 35 20 16.33) - these were inadvertently left off the package for Amendment 0001, this is NOT a new amendment, it is part of Amendment 0001.
