QUESTIONS FOR JAPANESE LATRINES
· Is the solicitation a new requirement set by the government or is this a contract currently being performed that the government is renewing. If this is a renewal, do you have the contract number associated with the old contract?
· This is a new contract. The one prior, W911SG20P0038 is ending.
· Is there a disposal facility inside the location?
· No, there’s no disposal facility at the assigned location.
· PWS states – Place of Performance – See schedule attachment but there is no attachment. Can we get this information? Can you provide approximate locations base on how many miles would be on pavement vs dirt roads, a map, or some other form of location? For example, if we service units on paved roads, it could only take a couple hours; however, we service some locations where we travel 30 miles down a dirt road that can take up to eight (8) hours to service depending on road conditions. Can you provide something so we could better estimate our service travel time?
· The Place of Performance Attachments will be posted to SAM.gov along with this document. The locations will be labeled as Place of Performance Attachment 1-4 in the solicitation amendment.
· PWS, Pg # 19, Technical Exhibit 2 – Solid Waste Diversion Report – This report is typically utilized to report solid waste and the amount that is recycle, composted etc.; however, we do not believe it would be applicable to septic waste as it can only be taken to the sewer treatment plant. Can you please confirm?
· Solid Waste Diversion Report - Due to the process of waste it is not applicable to septic waste because it can only be taken to the sewer treatment plant. If there is Solid Waste such as stated in PWS section 5.1.8, then the Solid Waste Diversion Report will be used.
· PWS, Pg # 2, Period of Performance - This list Option Years as one year periods 01 Aug – 31 July; however, Solicitation W911SG25QA036 Prices/Cost, Items 1001 – 1008, 2001-2008, 3001-3008, 4001-4008 appear to be asking for pricing in six (6) month increments. Can you please clarify? Will options, if exercised, be rewarded in six (6) month increments or one (1) year increments?
· The 6-month increments are due to having two different lines of accounting. The base year will only have one line of accounting, which is why there are less line items.
· If options are exercised both 6-month increments will be used for a total of 1 year if listed as such.
· Is there a water point where we can refill out trucks?
· The Contractor is responsible for finding a water fill point as Ft. Bliss will not be providing these on the installation for this requirement.
