About this file

This document contains Questions and Answers regarding the technical requirements for LED video walls at Fort Irwin, CA. The key specifications clarified include: the contractor must provide stand-alone LED video walls (not trailers) with ground support that raises them minimum 3 feet off the ground, power must be supplied via contractor-provided generators with 110V American connectors, and signal input will be via HDMI from a computer source.

The installation timing and staffing requirements specify that load-in can occur on March 10th, 2025 (day before the event) with no additional cost to the government and coordination with the COR. A trained LED wall operator/technician must remain on-site during the exercise period of performance, with specific hours detailed in Task 1.6.4. The delivery location is confirmed as Fort Irwin, CA (correcting a typo that listed TX in the solicitation).

1.Will power be supplied, or do we need to bring generators or any other alternative power source for the LED walls? Defer to PWS

2. Is it ok if we load in the day before the event on March 10th 2025 to set up in preparation? This is workable provided no additional cost to Government and Vendor must coordinate with COR on ground prior to delivery.

Can you confirm the location for delivery? In the solicitation it says Fort Irwin, TX. Is that supposed to be Fort Irwin, CA? It was a typo. Delivery is Fort Irwin, CA

2. Will 12x7' LED wall trailers satisfy this contract or do these need to be stand alone? They need to be stand alone

Setup:

Ground Stacked or Rigged? Will the wall be ground stacked (on the floor) or rigged (suspended)? If ground stacked, is the government providing the stage riser for it?

The Contractor shall be responsible to ensure both LED Video Walls has a stand-alone base ground support that allows the wall to be raised off the ground a minimum of 3 feet. A stage riser will not be provided.

The signal will be from Computer. HDMI will be used.

The power source should be a generator at a safe distance from the walls.

Power:

Power Requirements:

Will the wall connections require 110V regular American connectors? Yes

Labor:

Load-in and Technical Support:

When is the load-in time? Will we need technical support throughout the entire timeframe? Is the technician’s role just to turn the system on/off and ensure the wall is functioning properly, or will they be operating the system, e.g., as a video jockey for playback? What are the expected working hours for the technicians? Load-in time is prior to period of performance. See Task 1.6.4 for hours. The trained LED wall operator/technician will remain on-site during the execution of the exercise for POP date(s) specified. Please review Part 4&5 for more details.
