Answer to RFIs

1. The solicitation states for contractors to provide a safety/quality control person. Is that indicating to provide an ssho and a qcm or only one of the two? And if both are needed, will a dual hat be acceptable?

See SOW section 1.9. “ dedicated Safety/Quality Control Person for the duration of the contract.”

2. Can any photos of the roof and hvac be provided? It will be difficult to get a mechanical company on board with the jobsite being so far from them and pictures will be very helpful for them to be able to quote the project.

See attached. No other photos are available.

3. Can the site visit sign in sheet be posted?

Sign in sheet is attached.

4. As per the drawing, the new wall mounted units will require a new 40A breaker in replacement of the existing 30A breakers. After checking for the availability, we were informed the existing 480v panel has been discontinued and circuit breakers are no longer available. Please advise if the intent is to replace the existing 480v panel.

Government Answer: Contractor shall provide and install new Square D Panel and new circuit breakers. Contractor shall provide and install any/all new materials required for new panel including required and spare circuit breakers shown on drawing sheet 6 Electrical System. Bolt on breakers shall be used.

5. Please confirm that the 480v generator referenced in this note is solely to test new units and for close out of the project. Not as a permanent generator to the site.

Government Answer: Generator is for testing new HVAC units only. A Temporary Generator shall be provided and maintained by the Contractor. The generator shall be available for any and all Government acceptance inspections of the HVAC units. The generator is not to remain upon project completion

6. What type of decking does the Missile Assembly Building B36003 Launch Complex LC- 94 currently have? OSB, Steel, Or other?

Government Answer: Building 36003/LC94 is a pre-engineered metal building. The main structure is comprised of rigid frames. Metal roof purlins span across the rigid frames.

There is no roof deck. The standing seam roof panels are connected to the roof purlins. JF 23July2024
