About this file

This is a specification document for West Point GYM-A Shirts to be provided by a contractor for the United States Military Academy (USMA).

The contractor must provide Standard Army uniform GYM-A Black Shirts in both short sleeve and long sleeve configurations. Each shirt requires an Army Gold USMA crest positioned on the upper left front, centered vertically from the shoulder seam-collar intersection, with the top of the crest placed 9 inches (±1/8") below that intersection point. The crest dimensions are approximately 3.25 inches tall by 3-11/16 inches wide. Contractor-printed cadet last names only in gold block letters (3/8" thick, 0.5" high) must be centered 0.5" above the crest. The Government will provide an alphabetical list of approximately 1,200 to 1,300 cadet names with associated sizes on or about May 1st per contract year, in either one or two batches. The contractor must produce six short-sleeve shirts and three long-sleeve shirts for each cadet, with delivery required within 60 calendar days from the date names are provided (or per batch if provided separately). Shirts must be packed in plastic bags by cadet name with clearly marked sizes, bundled accordingly (6 short-sleeve, 3 long-sleeve per cadet), boxed alphabetically by name, and packed approximately 168 shirts per carton with packing lists and corresponding name lists included. The Government reserves the right to increase orders by up to 10% at the same per-shirt rate. The contractor must replace at no cost shirts with misspelled names or incorrect sizes and arrange pickup and delivery of defective items within 7 days of error notification; if government error causes size changes, the Government pays the price difference.
