RESPONSE TO VENDOR QUESTIONS
Q: Are we able to leave equipment on site during the snow season such as a skid loader?
A: Yes. Equipment can be stored onsite but will not be in a secure location.
Q: The amount/type of snow and materials ie. salt, sand, etc. will be different each time, are invoices needing to be a flat rate based solely on the number of plows for each visit no matter the materials cost and type of snow?
A: Invoices are to be billed by the CLIN associated with the snow type service provided. Please see the snow types listed in the Part 5 Specific Tasks for descriptions. The price schedule is broken down by CLINs per snow type, also see Attachment 5 – Snow Type and Frequency.
Q: We will be tracking storms as they move into the area. Is there a guideline or marker we might look to so we can tentatively allocate the appropriate resources prior to contact?
A: The contract is not an automatic call out. The COR will call out for services as needed. COR typically calls out approx. 2" of snow but may wait until the storm has passed to call out. Every storm is different so call out may be at different times/depths.
Q: Is there a trigger that might indicate the need for a service?
A: The contract is not an automatic call out. The COR will call out for services as needed. COR typically calls out approx. 2" of snow but may wait until the storm has passed to call out. Every storm is different so call out may be at different times/depths.
Q: Could a call come in the middle of the night or are there certain hours of operation?
A: Most of the calls will be between 6am and 8pm but may vary depending on the storm. COR will make the call and works normal duty hours 7-4:30. COR may request the parking lots be cleared before duty hours the next day. MEP or Motorpool parking where ethe Military Trucks are parked is typically lock unless its during duty hours.
