SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 1449 - CONTINUATION SHEET

SOLICITATION/CONTRACT FORM

The Acquisition Set Aside has changed from 8(a) Program to Small Business.

The following have been added by full text:

RESPONSE TO VENDOR QUESTIONS

Q1. This solicitation for ground maintenance services says that it is a set aside for a small business, but on the SF 1449 it says that it is a set aside for 8(A). Could you please verify which set aside it is?

A1. This solicitation is set aside for 100% small business.

Q2. Will an employee be on site to sign off on the paperwork every time a cleanup is scheduled?

A2. We can’t guarantee there will be personnel on site. All efforts should be made to have tickets signed.

If tickets cannot be signed due to lack to personnel, this should be communicated to the COR as soon as possible. You are encouraged to provide photos to the COR to show completion of work.

Q3. Is Type 2 Mowing & Spring/Fall Cleanup the only types of work that will be required?

A3. Sections 5.1-5.1.3, 5.2.2-5.2.2.7, 5.3.1-5.3.3, 5.5-5.7.2 may all be required as necessary. The PWS should be reviewed closely to understand what types of work will be necessary. No fertilizer application or aeration is required since the entire site is a Type 2 mow.

Q4. Exactly how many mows will be required every year and exactly how many spring/fall cleanups will be required every year?

A4. There are no set number of mows, the grounds are to be maintained throughout the month as listed in PWS 5.2.2 Type Two (II) Lawn Maintenance.

Performance for spring and fall clean-up are to be completed one time in the spring and one time in the fall and performed to the requirements listed in PWS 5.3 Spring and Fall Clean-Up.

Q5. How much has been added to the scope of work from the last time this was awarded?

A5. Please read and place offers on this solicitation only.

Q6. The price schedule has a CLIN for the "Semi Annual Grounds Maintenance Services", is this referring to the weed and feed application?

A6. This is referring to Spring and fall clean-up which is performed 2 times annually - once in the Spring and once in the Fall.

Q7. Because we are only dealing with Type II mowing, is it safe to assume we realistically have to mow once (1) a month?

A7. There are no set number of mows, the grounds are to be maintained throughout the month as listed in PWS 5.2.2 Type Two (II) Lawn Maintenance.

Q8. Will keys be given to contractors to enter the premises during hours of operation to allow accurate cleanup in places that subcontractors will not be allowed to enter?

A8. Keys will not be provided. To enter controlled areas prior coordination with the COR or Facility Coordinator will be necessary to ensure there are staff onsite to provide access. Note: most of the site is accessible without key access, with the inside perimeter fence line for the tactical vehicle maintenance parking as the exception.
