About this file

This amendment to solicitation W911SA24Q3027 provides responses to contractor questions and extends the quote due date to January 26, 2024 at 4:00pm CST. The solicitation is for weed control services at multiple facilities (UT002, UT007, UT019, UT030) located on Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. The performance period is from February 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025, with four optional one-year extensions and a six-month optional extension. Quotes must be emailed to the Army contracting officer by the new due date. The amendment clarifies that initial cleanup is not a separate line item, and contractors should review the full solicitation. It also directs contractors to use the provided drawings to identify areas requiring weed control.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following have been added by full text:

QUESTIONS

Q1: Sections 5.9 and 5.9.1 Infer that if initial clean up is needed than it would be a bid item. However, 5.1.2 states weeds must be mechanically removed prior to application of growth inhibitor. Would not this mechanical removal of weeds for the first season constitute an initial clean-up?

A1: Please review the solicitation and attachments in their entirety. Initial Cleanup is not listed in the attachment W911SA24Q3027 Attachment 6 – Price Schedule. Please see the PWS section of the Solicitation:

5.9. If listed on the Price Schedule, for the base year only, an Initial cleanup will be performed within the active period at the start of the contract within 60 days.

5.9.1. Initial Clean Up: The intent of the Initial cleanup is to provide additional funding one time at the start of the contract for additional cleanup work that will be required to remove existing weeds and generally restore the area depicted in the drawing(s) to a weed-free state.

Q2: Satellite imagery, from June 2022, shows quite a bit of vegetation at some of these locations. For example the largest gravel area at 1380 N 1200 West. Do these weeds have to be mechanically removed?

A2: Please refer to areas shown in the drawings that require weed control.

Q3: Are there any fees associated with any of the trainings and ID badges?

A3: There are no known fees associated with any of the trainings and ID badges.
