Salient Characteristics for Concrete blocks

1. A 4’x4’x4’ concrete cube. All vertical and horizontal edges will have no less than4” and no greater than 6” angle iron welded together to protect the edges and corners. ½” rebar will be placed in the concrete, spaced approximately 10” apart and no closer than 4” from any edge. Each block would be approx. 2.37 cubic yards or approx. 9,480lbs per block.

2. A 5’x10’x6” concrete slab. All vertical and horizontal edges will have no less than 4” and no more than 6” angle iron welded together to protect the edges and corners; this will have the effect of covering the edges which will work for this application. It will have ½” reinforcing rebar no closer than 4” from any edge, rebar spaced approximately 12” apart, and All vertical and horizontal edges will have angle iron welded together to protect the edges and corners. Each block is approx. .93 cu yards or approx. 3,720lbs per block

3. A 42”x42”x4” concrete slab; with ½” reinforcing rebar no closer than 4” from any edge, rebar spaced approximately 12” apart. There will be a piece of rebar inserted into the concrete to create a lifting point 3’ and angled 90 degrees inside the concrete and 8”wide by 8” high outside the concrete creating a U- Shape. Each block is approx. .16 cu yards or approx. 640lbs per block.

There will be a piece of rebar inserted into the concrete to create a lifting point 3’ into the concrete angled at 90 degrees inside to hold and 8” High by 8” wide outside the concrete creating a U-Shape. Each Block is approx. .27 cu yards and approx. 1,080lbs per block.

Block 1: We are expected to purchase between 0 and 5 of these blocks every year and when it’s delivered the contractor must sit them down on treated 6” X 6” timbers so the customer can pick them up with a forklift and move them if need be.

Block 2: We are expected to purchase between 0 and 7 of these blocks every year and when it’s up with a forklift and move them if need be. These can stack one of top of the other when delivered but there needs to be 6” X 6” treated timbers between each slab.

Block 3: We are expected to purchase between 0 and 270 of these blocks every year. When it’s up with a forklift and move them out to the training area for the students to practice and certify on.

Block 4: We are expected to purchase between 0 and 270 of these blocks every year. When it’s up with a forklift and move them out to the training area for the students to practice and certify on.

Block 5: We are expected to purchase between 0 and 48 of these blocks every year. When it’s up with a forklift and move them out to the training area for the students to practice and certify on.
