18 April Site Visit Meeting minutes for Warfighter DFAC W911RZ-19-Q-0038
Date of Minutes: 18 April 2019
Fort Carson contracting representatives Sarah Mehlenbeck and Christopher Comish met with potential offerors on 18 April 2019 at 8:00 AM at Warfighter DFAC Building 9439. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Cooks and Bakers requirement per solicitation W911RZ-19-Q- 0038 posted on FBO.gov.
Sarah gave an in-brief to the contractors and Jason Gerber, from the Food Program Management Office, gave a tour of the facility. Blue notecards were passed out so the contractors could write their questions down and submit them to Fort Carson contracting following the meeting. Per the solicitation: Questions concerning this solicitation should be submitted under separate cover, clearly marked as W911RZ-19-Q-0038 questions to include, name of person submitting the question(s), and company name, phone number, and email. Each question should reference the specific section, paragraph and/or attachment number of the solicitation or PWS (as applicable).
These questions must be received by Fort Carson MICC no later than 10:00 AM local time 19 April 2019 in order for an appropriate response to be given. Please submit your questions by email to Christopher Comish at christopher.j.comish.civ@mail.mil and Sarah Mehlenbeck at sarah.a.mehlenbeck.civ@mail.mil.
Notecards with contractor questions were not received at the end of the site visit, however the contractors agreed to email the questions to christopher.j.comish.civ@mail.mil by close of business 19 April.
Contracting agreed to amend the solicitation another 2 business days to allow for the posting of the answers to the questions prior to the closing of the solicitation/receiving of contractor’s quotes. Also, the requiring activity decided that weekend duty is not required for the cooks and bakers, so the PWS will be adjusted to remove the weekend requirement. Finally, it was noted that cooks also serve food at the Warfighter DFAC.
