6.2. Exterior: 1.The exterior of the deployable / tactical SCIF will be equal to a standard International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 20ft x 8ft x 8ft 6inch shipping container. 2.The exterior container should be tan in color utilizing the CARC (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating) process and retain all placard markings and serial numbers. 3.The container will be supplied with no windows. 4.The SCIF will be designed with the exterior ISO shipping container doors as the exterior doors. Inside the front exterior doors, a secure wall will be constructed to provide a secure SCIF access interior door, resulting in a small “foyer”. Inside the rear exterior doors, a solid secure wall will be constructed to support the integration of HVAC, power & communication junction boxes and ventilation.

6.3 Interior Ceiling, Floor, & Walls 1.The container should be lined with ¼-inch steel plate, continuously welded to form the interior ceiling, floor, & walls. 2.Inside the steel lining of the container will be framed consisting of studs, insulation, and two layers of 5/8-inch sheet rock on the walls and ceiling. Each layer of sheet rock will be taped to improve audio security of the facility. The walls and ceiling will be finished with a paint, neutral in color and complimentary to the floor and office environment. Constructed to provide sound attenuation per DCID 6/9 sound group 3.

3.The floor will be constructed with a single layer 3/4-inch sheet of plywood and finished with standard linoleum flooring neutral in color (not white) complimentary to an office environment. 4.The electrical and network receptacles will be flush with the finished wall and enclosed with appropriate wall plates, complimentary to the wall color.

6.4 Doors, Frames and Hardware 1.Centered inside the front exterior door of the container will be a secure wall with a door made of a solid wood core, encased with 16-gage steel, creating an interior SCIF access door. 2.The SCIF access door will be secured with a CDX-10 combination door lock and a simplex single pin access mechanical push button lock. The door will also be supplied with the appropriate sound seals and drop seals to provide audio protection. This door will be fit in a steel frame that will have a ¼-inch steel plate on its inside for added physical security. 3.The mobile / tactical SCIF will be fully compliant with DCID 6/9 requirements for construction, sound attenuation, doors, vents, ducts and pipes.
