About this file
This document is a Solicitation Industry Questions and Answers for a 1ID Reefer Truck Lease (Solicitation Number W911RX-25-Q-A071) issued by the U.S. Army. The Q&A addresses three key points: liftgates, daily mileage, and vehicle insurance requirements. Specifically, liftgates are optional for the truck lease, each truck is expected to be driven approximately 60 miles daily, and contractors must provide their own vehicle insurance to legally enter and maneuver within Fort Riley. Once the trucks are delivered into Army control, they will be subject to the Army's self-insurance, with damage outside normal wear and tear to be assessed and claims submitted at the time of occurrence.

Answer 1: They are optional (not required)
Question 2: Is there any expected daily mileage usage for the trucks?
Answer 2: 60 Miles each
Question 3: Will we be required to provide insurance coverage for the leased vehicles, or will this be addressed separately by the Government?
Answer 3: Contractor provided vehicle insurance is required to legally enter and maneuver within the confines of Fort Riley. The insurance should be a part of the leased vehicles prior to entering Fort Riley. Once the trucks are delivered into Army control, they are subject to the Army’s self-insurance.
