Q&A RESPONSE 11/29/2021
1. Solvent required as part of this service. The new Purchase Description does not specify the specific type of degreasing solvent required. We ask that this is clarified for this new bid.
The PD will be updated to reflect MIL PRF-680C, Type II or Equal solvent
1. Dedicated Service Representative. The new Purchase Description calls for several sizes of contractor-provided machines, all of which we can provide. It also calls for service of all the machines every 16 weeks or 3.3 services per machine per year. It appears as if with this change from the former statement of work, that RRAD no longer requires a dedicated on-site rep to handle machine servicing needs. Please confirm that this is the case.
That is correct we do not require a dedicated onsite rep,
1. Placement of all new machines upon award. Depending upon the award date, current supply-chain restrictions (steel availability) may impact our ability to immediately supply 116 new machines. We ask that there be some provision made for a transition from the government-owned machines to the new equipment required, rather than all at once. We are meeting with our parts cleaner manufacture on November 29th and will be able to provide a delivery schedule with our bid on or before December 6th.
The PD will be updated to reflect a transition period from government parts cleaners to leased/rentals (estimated 4 weeks) after award
1. Contractor shall invoice quarterly in WAWF (Wide Area Work Flow). We respectfully request that due to the amount of services performed that invoicing stays monthly versus quarterly.
The PD will be updated to reflect invoices shall be submitted in WAWF (Wide Area Work Flow) on a monthly basis.
