Questions and Answers in Response to Combined Synopsis/Solicitation W911QY-24-R-IDC1 S2PRINT Integrated Data Collection Lab
Question 1:
It looks like proposal should not include any extra desktop or laptop computers. Is it correct to assume that the required laptops/desktops will be procured elsewhere? Just want to make sure they will be gotten somewhere else, as the system is not functional without them. I can specify in the RFP the required number and specs to make the system functional.
Answer 1:
This is correct. We do want/need the number and specs for the computers to run the system because that info will be needed for acquiring computers for IDCL through CHESS or other government avenues.
Question 2:
Is it possible for us to include pricing for optional items in the proposal (so not required for the scope listed, but potentially beneficial)? Examples include a corrective lens kit for eye tracking glasses (so the glasses would work with subjects who wear glasses), as well as extra eye tracking glasses.
Answer 2:
Yes, pricing for optional items would be acceptable.
Question 3:
For the eyetrackers, is there a minimum number required for the large UX lab? I can put extras in the optional component section.
Answer 3:
One (1) is the minimum, but yes add additional in the optional section.
Question 4:
For the eyetrackers, is there a use case where the subject will need to be moving around while wearing the eye tracker/ or an instance where they will not be in front of a screen?
Answer 4:
Yes, they may be moving around some.
Question 5:
For the optional physiology equipment, how many subjects will be wearing the equipment at the same time?
Answer 5:
Similar to eye trackers, minimum is one (1), but additional in optional section would be useful.
Question 6:
Could we get a rough schematic/floorplan of the location of the rooms involved?
Answer 6:
Please see attached floorplans.
Question 7:
Is there only one control room for the Large UX Lab and HSI lab, or does each lab have its own control room?
Answer 7:
One control room for both.
Question 8:
Do the observation rooms have one way glass/mirrors in them?
Answer 8:
Yes.

Question 9:
For the camera mounted to the monitor, would a tripod next to the monitor or a camera mounted to the wall behind the monitor suffice (will the monitor be located close to a wall?)
Answer 9:
Yes, Tripod would be okay. Wall mounted may be an option also.
Question 10:
Given the scope of this solution, is there flexibility on delivery time (currently stated in the RFP as 30 days after report is accepted)?
Answer 10:
The solicitation has been amended to update the delivery schedule: the report on technical needs is due 45 days after award and the installation, integration, and training is due 60 days after award.
Question 11:
For the extended hardware warranty/expedited repair, what turnaround is expected for expedited repair?
Answer 11:
Two (2) to four (4) weeks seems reasonable taking into consideration the scope of the repair needed.
