About this file
The document is a Request for Information (RFI) for fall protection systems at Watervliet Arsenal in New York. The RFI addresses key technical specifications for horizontal lifeline fall protection systems, including installation requirements, design characteristics, and installer qualifications. Specific details include a preference for permanent engineered design systems installed by certified professionals, with installers required to have EM385 Competent Person in Fall Protection (24-hour) training or equivalent certification.
The related federal contract opportunity is a small business set-aside solicitation valued between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, issued by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal. The project involves designing, supplying, and installing fall protection systems in Buildings 35E and 135, with a firm fixed price arrangement. A site visit was scheduled for 26 August at 10:00 am, and all requests for information must be submitted in writing via email to Christopher K. Battiste. Performance and payment bonds are required, and the applicable wage determination is NY2 current revision.
