About this file

This document is a Technical Requirements specification from the Department of the Army's Letterkenny Army Depot for a Miniature Rectangular Connector (part number 00-850-0471). The specification details two connector types: a -50 connector with 0.062 diameter gold-plated brass pin contacts rated at 13 amps, and an -8 connector with 0.93 diameter gold-plated brass pin contacts rated at 20 amps. The connectors must meet MIL-C-28748 performance requirements, have a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000 VAC at sea level, use grey glass-filled diallyl phthalate as the dielectric material, and feature Phosphor Bronze guides. The document includes detailed dimensional drawings and specifies mounting holes for No. 4 machine screws, with a suggested source of MRA508SGH8:81312.
