There has been a recent SAM requirement for submission of notarized letters for all new vendor registrants, and for renewals of existing registrations. Please check your SAM registration and if the registration is due for renewal in the next few months, it is important to start that process immediately. For additional information on notarized letters, visit:
https://www.fsd.gov/gsafsd_sp?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0016652&sys_kb_id=8cfe46491b1cb8909 ac5ddb6bc4bcbbb&spa=1.

The AMC protest decision goal is to resolve protests within 35 calendar days from filing. To be timely, protests must be filed within the periods specified in Federal Acquisition Regulation 33.103. If you want to file a protest under the HQ AMC-Level Protest Program, the protest must request resolution under that program and be sent to the address below.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q1). I did not see anything on the spreadsheet to cover the truck wash?
Washing Specifications For Detergent shall be supplied for wash racks in 37, 57,350,351, the truck wash, and the 350MTA It is part of the whole bid correct?
A1) . no on the truck wash, add 320 wash rack.
Q2). I also see the “duplication” of the AL conversion lines, the MTA line, and one that is more conventional that is designated 377. I just want to make sure both lines are looking for a hexavalent Chromate? Or if one is trivalent? Or some other kind of treatment?
A2) we are looking for Hexchrome.
Q3) I need to confirm the 377-22, 377-24, and the MTA-12 are all the Eurostrip 7028/7031 Paint Stripping product.
A3) yes, Correct
Q4) Lastly, there are products for Non Destructive Testing, Ardrox, and a solvent cleaner called Tech Solv 334 also mentioned no where, I assume they will not be included as part of this?
A4) no these are supplied by a current vendor.
Q5) I still question the request for the 4.5 vehicle wash / Spray wash, you added the extra location, but its not on the bid sheet for pricing? I was under the impression it was to be part of this bid?
A5)Yes. All the wash racks (320, 351, gantry truck wash etc will need included)
Q6) The Zinc Phosphate, the mil spec request is for the CARC Prepaint spec, yet you currently use and have for years used a heavy zinc product? Intended for heavy zinc and oil, typically engine parts, not painted parts!
Am I to continue to quote this or do I use a product for prepaint that meets the specs, if you use activation. If so… Do you have a rinse tank prior to zinc phos that allows for activation to be added? And nothing else runs though it?
A6) Meet TTC 490 type-1. Please meet spec TTC-490 type 1 using the tanks and equipment we have on hand listed in attachment A. Your product recommendation needs to allow for the setup we have, which could be possibly adjusted to suit your product needs. These tanks would only be used for steel/ferrous metals.
Q7) The Aluminum in MTA-01 is it for Aluminum only?
Is it used in the steel process for Zinc Phos? If not where is the precleaning for zinc phos done? Is that MTA 10?
A7) MTA-01 is currently destined for aluminum only. No it is not used for steel processing. Pre-cleaning for steel will be done in pressure washing/detergent recommended.
Q8) How do I quote the Stripper as it is a two part product, with only one line to quote?
(50% part A) + (38.5% part B) = per gal cost?
A8) The solution would be on the companies discretion, container is ideally 55 gallon drums IAW para. 4.5.1 of the Purchase Description. Feel free to add a line or lines to the form.
Q9) Your quantities are listed as say 2, but is it two gallons, two drums, two pails?
A9) Drums. IAW para 4.5.1 of the Purchase Description.
