About this file

This document is an amendment to Solicitation W911KF25Q0005, which is a solicitation for the purchase of eighty-five (85) six-foot picnic tables and forty-one (41) forty-six-inch picnic tables for the Anniston Army Depot. The amendment provides answers to vendor questions related to the delivery schedule, unloading capabilities, certifications, tax exemption, product specifications, and other requirements. Key details include: the solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside, the NAICS code is 339999, proposals are due by October 31, 2024, and the government will provide a tax-exempt certificate after award. The amendment clarifies that the picnic tables must be 2-inch thick with black powder-coated frames, and that unassembled tables are acceptable without the need for onsite installation. No mounting options are required, and the tables can be portable.

ANSWER 4: Please fill in all information on the SF1449.

QUESTION 5: Taxes — The solicitation states that “The contract price includes all applicable Federal, State, and local taxes and duties.” I assumed this order would be tax-exempt. Should the order be tax exempt and if so, will we be given a tax exempt certificate once the contract is awarded?

ANSWER 5: The government will provide the tax exempt information after awarding the contract.

QUESTION 10: Are the following specs appropriate?

Expanded Steel Construction: The picnic table's top and benches are to be made of expanded steel, a type of steel sheet that is cut and stretched into a mesh-like pattern, which provides strength, ventilation, and water drainage.

Powder-Coated Frames: The supporting frame of the table is to be made of metal and treated with a powder coating, which provides protection against rust, corrosion, and the elements. Powder coating also adds to the overall aesthetic, making the table more resistant to scratches and fading.

Thermoplastic Protective Coating (Black): Both the tabletop and benches are to be coated with a black thermoplastic protective layer. This coating gives a smooth, comfortable surface but also enhances resistance to UV rays, moisture, and graffiti. It prevents damage from outdoor exposure while making the table easy to clean and maintain.
