About this file
This is a Question and Answer Response document clarifying certification requirements for the fire extinguisher maintenance solicitation W91151-26-Q-A019. The document addresses a vendor inquiry regarding certifications needed for Amerex 490 Wheeled Fire Carts, resolving confusion that arose from initial outreach to Amerex, NFPA, and the FED Learning Center. The response clarifies that "certification" in the context of this solicitation refers to vendor documentation—specifically tags or stickers affixed to each extinguisher—that certify the completion of hydrostatic testing and 12-year maintenance services, as outlined in the Performance Work Statement Deliverables Schedule. The answer also notes that a certification requirement initially listed in the Limiting Competition Memo has been removed from the acquisition requirements, though the document itself remains on file.
