About this file
This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for RFQ W9114F25QA004 regarding Microbiological Identification/Susceptibility (ID/AST) testing support for the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
The document contains a single Q&A exchange where a vendor asked about separating pricing for ID and AST testing. The government's response indicates they cannot separate ID and AST as separate line items but provided historical testing volume data for 2022-2024. The data shows testing volumes for both Gram-Positive and Gram-Negative bacteria, with Susceptibility testing volumes significantly higher than Identification testing. For example, in 2024, there were 22 Gram-Positive and 61 Gram-Negative Identification tests compared to 1,190 Gram-Positive and 2,310 Gram-Negative Susceptibility tests.

We have a question regarding the "Solicitation" document. Is it possible to list the prices separately for ID and AST? Please provide a ratio of the planned ID- and AST-testings regarding the total amount.
Answer:
We cannot separate the ID and AST as separate line-items, but we can provide historical data. There is no fix ratio between the two tests. Please see the historical data from the past 3 years in the below table
