About this file
This federal opportunity solicitation is for aquatic vegetation removal services across 23 parishes in south Louisiana over five years. Contractors will provide all management, labor, equipment, herbicides and quality control to treat unwanted aquatic plants in navigable waterways. Past work was primarily in Terrebonne Parish along with other areas in St. Mary, Assumption, Lafourche, and St. Martin Parishes but treatment locations may occur anywhere nuisance vegetation appears. Pricing should be quoted on a per acre basis. Proposals are due by October 20, 2021. This is a total small business set-aside issued by the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District.

Questions #3
Question 1: Is there any site visits that will be held?
Response 1: No site visits will be given. Work locations could be anywhere within navigable waterways of south Louisiana and contractors should be familiar with south LA waterways. Past work locations mostly took place in Terrebonne, in addition to other areas in St. Mary, Assumption, Lafourche, and St, Martin Parishes. Potential work locations are not limited to these areas since nuisance vegetation could show up in any of our waterways.
Question 2: Can you explain how the quotes are to be sent in. Is that broken down to quarters out the year? How would you like for the quotes to be structured?
Response 2: Break down quotes on a per acre basis. Contractor evaluation is based on past performance, as well as total cost of the bid for the base period and the 4 option years.
Question 3: Could you please provide the 23 parishes that will be serviced in this contract Response 3: Work locations could be anywhere within navigable waterways of south Louisiana and contractors should be familiar with south LA waterways. Past work locations mostly took place in Terrebonne, in addition to other areas in St. Mary, Assumption, Lafourche, and St, Martin Parishes. Potential work locations are not limited to these areas since nuisance vegetation could show up in any of our waterways.
