About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers for the Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System - VI (ICIDS-VI) federal contract opportunity. The document reveals that the current ICIDS VI contract was awarded to Evergreen Fire & Security (W909MY-23-D-0004) and is in its first option year with a 5-year performance period. The government needs to increase the IDIQ contract ceiling and is seeking additional solicitation. Key highlights include: the contract will be a small business set-aside, the government is open to AI/ML technologies for sensor alerts, and each installation is considered unique with no pre-determined specific equipment lists provided.
The Questions and Answers document addresses multiple vendor inquiries about the contract, including technical integration requirements, government furnished property, site-specific engineering design, and system installation expectations. Notably, the government consistently declines to provide detailed equipment lists or specifics about existing intrusion detection systems, emphasizing that each installation has unique characteristics. The contract seeks commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technology for physical security capabilities at Army installations both in the Continental United States and overseas, with a preference for compliance with Army/DoD standards like the Integrated Sensor Architecture (ISA).

3.7.2 Performance of
SS
The SOW states that, " The SS is the most critical factor for successful completion of ICIDS installation". Furthermore, it also states, "The SS shall identify Installation preparation requirements and define hardware/software interfaces with existing IDS or other security equipment". Will the government provide a detailed list of the existing hardware/software which will remain (including other programs) to enable a determination of the right solutions that can and will interface with these existing solutions?
No, the Government will not provide a detailed list of the existing hardware/software which will remain (including other programs) to enable a determination of the right solutions that can and will interface with these existing solutions. Each installation is unique.

3.7.5 Site Specific
Engieneering Design
(SSD)
The SOW states that, "System design shall include integration of system with Installation's network and existing Installation IDS". Will the government provide information to assist with understanding what existing IDS implementations or solutions are to which this contract will need to connect or provide interface(s)?
No, the Government will not provide information to assist with understanding what existing IDS implementations or solutions are to which this contract will need to connect or provide interface(s). Each installation is unique.
7 18 3.8 Site Installation The SOW states, "During transition of operations from existing IDS to ICIDS-VI, the Contractor shall not disrupt system operations for more than 24 hours". Will the government provide information on what the existing IDS is to allow for propoer planning for transition to and design for ICIDS-VI?
No, the Government will not provide information on what the existing IDS is to allow for proper planning for transition to and design for ICIDS-VI. Each installation is unique.
