About this file
This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for annual maintenance service and repair of government-owned Steris sterilization processing equipment at Bassett Army Community Hospital, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
The contract requires the contractor to provide trained personnel, labor, parts, materials, travel, tools, and test equipment necessary to maintain twelve pieces of sterilization equipment (including Amsco 400, Reliance 444, CAVI-20-WRD-E, and Medivator models) in fully functional condition per Original Equipment Manufacturer specifications. Services include semi-annual preventative maintenance checks and services (PMCS) during June and December, unscheduled repairs upon request, calibration, and software updates. The contractor must maintain a 98% uptime guarantee calculated quarterly. Response time requirements are strict: acknowledgment of service calls within two hours, on-site arrival within 48 hours, and deficiency correction within two days of notification. All service visits must be coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and Medical Maintenance personnel. The contract is not time-and-materials; it does not cover overtime, after-hours emergencies, or Federal holiday coverage. Services should be provided during normal business hours (0800-1600, Monday-Friday), though exceptions may be approved by the COR if equipment access is limited or servicing would impact patient care. Contractor personnel must be Steris-trained Field Service Engineers with current service keys, comply with all BACH security and safety protocols, complete required security and awareness training, and submit detailed Field Service Reports within 72 hours of completion. All replacement parts must meet OEM standards and become government property upon installation. The facility operates 24/7 for emergency services and Monday-Friday 0730-1630 for specialty clinical services.
