MEMORANDUM FOR Veterinary Treatment Facility/MCHB-RW-JBR
FROM: 673 OMRS/SGXB
SUBJECT: Semi-Annual Ventilation Survey Results, Portable Laboratory Hood, 0687-HOSY- 727A
1. On 9 August 2022, SrA Andrew Cantrell from Bioenvironmental Engineering (BE) performed a semi-annual ventilation survey of the portable laboratory hood. The purpose of this survey was to determine if the system is operating at the recommended air flow rates per the UFC-4-510-10 Design: Military Medical Facilities and the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Equipment used to conduct this survey was a TSI VelociCalc (SN:9565P1818041), calibrated 27 May 2022 and Electronic Micromanometer ADM-880C (SN:M20243), calibrated on 14 September 2020.
2. The purpose of this ventilation system is to prevent worker exposure to Formaldehyde during the mass preservation process and determine whether the system meets the design criteria directed by UFC-4-510-10 Military Medical Facilities. The measurement is expressed in feet per minute (FPM); results are listed below for your information.
