Industry Request for Information (RFI)
Inquiries from Industry (Written in Black)
Response from Government (Written in Red)
Industry Inquiry #1: In reviewing the specifications for this solicitation, can you please clarify the number of doors for the morgue cooler?
The specs seem to indicate a total of 4 doors:
Custom 10 Body Cooler 10 Body Refrigerator, 3 Doors ‐Bariatric Bay (1) ‐ (2) Storage Racks | (1) Carrier Storage ‐Bariatric Bay (2)‐ (2) Storage Racks | (1) Carrier Storage ‐Storage Bay (1) ‐ (4) Body Racks two Roller racks behind each door.
Self‐Contained Refrigeration
(3) Door Heaters
Response: 3 doors.
Industry Inquiry #2: I noticed on the pricing schedule, it specifies (2) bariatric cadaver carriers. I am assuming those were not expected to be hydraulic covered cadaver carriers. To my knowledge, that product is not made due to the issue of tipping over on the hydraulic base.
Also, was it desired to utilize the 27” body trays in conjunction with the above cadaver carrier where the trays would come on/off?
Response: The covered cadaver carriers are hydraulic in accordance with market research.
The 27” trays would NOT be used in conjunction with the bariatric carrier. The decedents would be transported via carrier, rolled onto the trays and stored via the cadaver lift we already have. If the covered cadaver carriers were being used for decedent storage, they would be lowered to their lowest height and then rolled into the bariatric bay.
