ADD Polyurethane coating Warning to read:

"Polyurethane, MIL-PRF-85285, Type I, Class, H Clear

Polyurethane coating is a carcinogenic risk. May cause birth defects People with chronic lung or breathing problems or persons that have reactions to isocyanates are not to use this product or be in the area where it is being used. Extreme overexposure could result in unconsciousness and possible death. It is an irritant to eyes, skin and respiratory tract. May cause sensitization and allergic respiratory and skin reactions. Highly flammable. It is too used with mechanical ventilation / local exhaust. Use an approved respirator if exposure exceeds Permissible Exposure Limits and/or Threshold Limit Values.

Wear approved gloves, skin, and eye protection. Avoid oxidizing agents and ignition sources."

REPLACE 1-10.4 second paragraph and ADD sub-paragraphs a and b as follows:

"Figure 1-3, Sheet 1 of 2, shows the IUID data plate format options for this component. The manufacturer IUID data plate format represents components originally UID-marked during production. The legacy IUID data plate formats represents components originally UID-marked post-production during an M&O event or in the field (commonly referred to as legacy components).

a. Manufacturer IUID Data Plate (Option A). The IUID data plate may contain one or two 2-D data matrices. The UID 2-D data matrix is encoded with a Construct 2 UII using DI or TEI data qualifiers 17V or CAG (manufacturer's CAGE code), 1P or PNO (original part number) and S or SEQ (manufacturer's serial number). In addition to the UII, a 30P or PNR (current part number) may also be encoded in the UII data matrix as additional information or in a separate 2-D data matrix. The 30P or PNR being the Sikorsky part number upon completion of the M&O event.

b. Legacy IUID Data Plate (Option B). The data plate contains one 2-D data matrix encoded with a Construct 1 UII that uses TEIs, SPL (supplier's CAGE code) and UCN (supplier's unique component number) as data qualifiers. In addition to the UII, a PNR (current part number) is also encoded in the data matrix as additional information in a separate 2-D data matrix. The PNR being the Sikorsky part number upon completion of the M&O event."

ADD Note prior to paragraph 1-10.5 to read:

"NOTE

Prior to fabrication of the IUID data plates, the DoD IUID Registry shall be queried per paragraph 3-5.2."

If present, use a handheld data matrix reader (Table B-1) or an equivalent, to scan the 2-D data matrices for the presence of an UII. If a scan of a 2-D data matrix provides a UII, proceed to paragraph 3-5.2.1.d and/or 3-5.2.1.e. If the scan of the 2-D data matrix or matrices are not successful (unreadable or does not provide a UII) after two attempts, proceed to paragraph 3-5.2.1.b."

Isopropyl alcohol is flammable and toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Wear protective gloves and goggles/face shield. Avoid repeated or prolonged contact. Use only in well ventilated areas (or use approved respirator as determined by local safety/industrial hygiene personnel).

Keep away from open flames, sparks, or other sources of ignition."

REPLACE paragraph b to read:

"Clean the 2-D data matrix or matrices with a cloth (APP C, item 11) moistened with isopropyl alcohol (App C, Item 10) and scan again.
