Answer: These vehicles will be picked up and shipped from the offeror’s FOB point of origin to Jordan by DCMA.

7) Question: It mentions NAICS 336112 – Light Truck and Utility Vehicle Manufacturing, does that mean that only Ford Company or its distributor in Jordan is allowed to bid on this solicitation, or can we also bid, procure from the manufacturer and deliver the vehicles if our NAICS does not fall under this category?
Answer: No, any contractor can propose the Ford vehicles from their FOB point of origin. The Government (DCMA) will pick up and ship from there.
8) Questions: It says FOB point: Origin, can you please clarify the location of FOB: Origin?
Answer: FOB: Origin means the offeror’s proposed point of origin for inspection/acceptance, then DCMA will ship the vehicles from the contractor’s facility (proposed point of origin).

Does this also apply for this solicitation or will procuring for the US DOD provide special approvals for your contractor to procure directly from the manufacturer and deliver to your required destination here in Jordan? Otherwise we will have to procure directly from the distributor here in Jordan.
Answer: The U.S. Government will not provide special approvals for the awardee to procure directly from the manufacturer.

14) Question: Section 2.b.2.ii.B.1. Mentions that we are not allowed to add any value on the goods we are procuring for the US Government here in Jordan, is my understanding correct? If so, then why would any vendor supply the goods requested if adding a profit margin is not allowed? Or does this clause relate only to shipping costs, where the supplier is not allowed to add value on top of the actual shipping costs only?
Answer: This section relates only to the shipping costs, contractors are prohibited from adding value on top of the actual shipping costs.
